Album description

Cherry Tree Lane features original songs by Ida Landsberg, some of them co-written with her husband, guitarist Simone Salvatore, who also served as the album’s main arranger. The sound blends pop with jazz and bossa nova influences, inspired by Burt Bacharach’s signature style.

Ida’s piano technique, focused on tactile exploration and her musical background, forms the foundation of the composing process, shaping the album’s melodies and harmonies.
The lyrics are deeply influenced by the stunning landscape of Southern Tuscany, particularly the Monte Argentario, where Ida moved after her youth in Berlin. This serene coastal setting serves as a backdrop to the album’s reflective themes.
The arrangements are brought to life by many talented musicians, including Frank Gambale, Ferruccio Spinetti, Marco Caudai, Marco Guidolotti, Andy Gravish, Roberto Schiano, Fabrizio Aiello, Francesco Moraca, Cesare Manetti and Gabriele Damiani, whose musical contributions add depth and texture to the recordings.

Cherry Tree Lane was released by Irma Records and EQ Music and Media and delivers a sophisticated yet intimate listening experience, full of emotional resonance and musical nuance.

Album Review

A journey into the fabulous world of Ida Landsberg, a slightly visionary universe whose architectures are full of fairy tales, magic, dreams and love.
